Church "Campout" Weekend

This past weekend we had planned a church campout at a nearby campground. But unfortunately because of the weather and all of the rain (which we are not complaining about) people were unable to get there trailers down the couple miles of mud/ruts/slick to get to the highway which led to the campground. So plan B........Sabbath day spent at Kevin and Angie's!!!! We had a wonderful day worshipping and fellowshipping with our little church and members from the Hanna church. The weather was gorgeous, the mosquitoes were minimal and the food was great!! :) Couldn't have asked for a better day!

Pastor Dave giving his sermon on the deck of the old Hemaruka train station.

Grandpa, enjoying the sermon (or the sun!)

Landen's look of "Why do I have to sit and listen when I can be playing out in the yard??"

Our little gathering

Our cousin, Brian led in some song and the lesson study.

Keesha also enjoying the sermon

Another special part of the day was that it was Stephen Sankey's 86th birthday as well as his and Peggy's 61st wedding anniversary!

The evening ended with a hot dog roast and more singing & evening worship!

Is that old train station really in your yard? It looks really unique. I'm glad you had a great day.
