Great Grandpa Letniak's 94th Birthday

On July 23rd Great Grandpa Letniak turned 94 years home.  Since none of us were quite home from the weekend of the wedding yet we celebrated with him the next evening.  Grandpa has recently been moved into a nursing home and is no longer living out at the farm. It was nice to have as much family out at that time that we did to enjoy his milestone with him.

So after the wedding Kevin's cousin Julie and her family came out to spend the week with us at the farm.  It was a great week and they were so much help, especially since I hadn't been home in 11 days prior to their arriving!  The kids had so much fun getting to know their cousins as well.  We all enjoyed an evening in Oyen at the Bullarama, which they had never seen before.  Gotta send them home with some good Alberta memories!  Thanks for the visit guys!

On July 22nd Ryan and Trina were married in Edmonton, AB.   Ryan had asked our boys to be part of their special day as the ring bearer and Bible boy.  He had more faith in our children than I did!  They had also asked Kaitlyn to be a flower-girl for them.  They kids looked so precious in their tuxedos and gowns!  It was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding!  Ryan and Kevin are 1st cousins.  Hope you enjoy some of the pictures from their special day!  Congratulations again to the both of them!

Cousins

Because of a family wedding that was happening on the weekend of July 21st we had some of Kevin's family come up from Michigan to attend and spend some time with us.  They have kids right around the age of ours so it was a great opportunity for our kid and Curt and Julie's kids to spend time and get to know their cousins.  So on one of the days we all went to visit Great Grandma Letniak who is in a home in Lacombe.

On June 21st, Landen, Jaren, Tori and I started our 2 day treck to Terrace,BC to visit with my family for just over a week.  Even though the weather in Terrace wasn't exactly "summer" weather and it rained a fair bit we all had a great time.  It is ALWAYS great to be able to spend time with so much family.  It is even better when some of your family also comes from Alberta so that you can see them too!  It is also fun to re-connect with old friends while I'm at home.

My sister and her family also came closer to the end of our stay so that we could celebrate my dad's 60th birthday which doesn't take place until September but it worked at this time of the year for us to head out there.  Don't know when the next time we'll all be together like that again, but I am looking forward to it!

So after a total of over 3400 km of driving (round trip) and I think our GPS said 34 1/2 hours of moving time we accomplished yet another journey to Beautiful British Columbia!  It's always good to go home!  Miss everyone so much!

End-of-the-year Field Trip

On the last day of school all the kids went on a field trip to Wainwright, AB.  The first part of the day took them swimming in the pool and then we loaded up the buses and went on a tour of the military base located in Wainwright.  Then to end of the day the kids went to a park where they played mini gold and enjoyed a very fun playground.

My baby now is officially going to be starting grade 1 next year!!!  He is growing up WAY to quickly!!
