STILL...A Whole Lot of White Stuff!

Last week Jaren talked to my Aunt and Uncle in Terrace and they said it was soooo beautiful and warm that day so they were bbq'ing and eating outside. Jaren didn't know how that was possible because of what our world looks like. No barbeques for us yet!! So I had to take some pictures and post them specifically for Auntie Faye and Uncle Walter to show them why Jaren didn't quite get how they could be eating out on their deck! :)
Today has been the first sunny day that we have had in well over a week. So with the sun it is soo nice to see things melting and puddles forming. We had a terrible fog/wind storm that took down 4 power poles north of us so we were out of power for 2 1/2 days! So this nicer weather is very welcome and we hope it stays around!! The ants go marching one by one.....

This morning there was a cattle drive that passed our house. There was a good mile stretch of these black Angus plodding along.
By the corrals The snow pushed up at the north side of the house. Looks like
someones gonna have a little lawn repair to do this year :)Heading out the back way of our yard to the road
The only place there is ground showing is where these guys have plowed the snow. We have a very big pile of snow in the back there to melt!
We have to climb "down" into the rabbit house. I also love how the tops of the caragana bushes are just peaking through the snow. They are taller than I am.
Looking at the back of the house and the snow Kevin has pushed up
On the north side of the house, piles Kevin has pushed away from the house
More drifts and piles of snow!
We still live in winter wonderland - pretty white out here!

Weekend in Smoky Lake

On the 18th we headed up to Smoky Lake to visit some good friends of ours, Randy and Rosanna. They have 2 of the most precious little boys and it is so much fun getting together with them to have the kids play! Look forward to the years to come as our boys grow up together!

Can Spring Be On It's Way??

The 'ol girl with some spring left in her step :)
Keesha

Keesha and Jaren
It was so nice to enjoy some warmer temperatures yesterday and be able to get outside. Kevin came home early and took the boys for a ski doo/sledding ride with Tori on their trail and Keesha and I were able to take up the peace & quiet and walk around in the melting snow. I love the warmer, longer days!

Our Flying Keeshond!

I swear she has springs under her paws!! That dog has got height when she leaps! We had so much fun watching her fly after the ballons and hug them with her front paws!m And who says balloons are only fun for kids??!!

Bull Sale Day

On March 10th we had our annual Charolais Bull Sale. It was a much warmer day so that was nice for a change. The sale went very well this year.

The other women who are involved in helping feed the crowd of over 200 people. Before the sale we always provide a hot lunch of beef-on-a-bun, coleslaw, baked potatoes and beans.

A Crazy House...

Our place would be so quiet and boring without our kids and dogs! :)

Some More Bull!

On Thursday, March 10th we have having our annual
CHAROLAIS POWER BULL SALE!
So that has been keeping my husband very busy along with calving and of course a few other things thrown into the mixture :) It is hard to believe that it is the middle of March and we still feel like we are in the dead of winter with temperatures dropping every night to about -25 degrees Celsius. There is a LOT of snow around to melt so I fear that we will have one very muddy, long spring! At least the kids will be happy. I am looking forward to warmer days and green grass! :)

I will hopefully get a few good pictures to post of the upcoming sale that will happen this week!
