Enjoying the Weather

These are the days when I enjoy having 4 seasons......
Landen heading out to find Jaren and help him with the chores.

The beautiful sun setting - the reason it's called sunny Alberta.

Trying to feed the calves hay.

Instead of his hands, he decided to try and maneuver the pitch fork.

Our two big helpers

Just one more bucket of oats, oops missed the bucket!!!! :)
Hopefully Jaren didn't see.

Up on top of a snow pile throwing snow with the wind

Out here I absolutely love the sunrises and sunsets!!! They can be beautiful!

Sun shining soo brightly on the train station - keeping the cats in the window warm.

What We HAVE To Put Up With!

Driving their remote control cars before heading to church - such boys! :)
Then just being complete goofballs before bath time last night......

Jaren always likes to "strike a pose"!

Finally got a taste of his own medicine! :)

Pre-school

On Tuesday I had the pleasure of being the parent helper in Jaren's preschool class. When the child has the parent helping they are the V.I.P. for that day, so Jaren was excited to be the honored one.

Callan and Jaren

Busy decorating their name tags

Jaren helping his teacher

He is really enjoying going to "school" and looks forward to it each week. I am glad we didn't start him any sooner and I'm sure that he will definitely be ready for kindergarten next year.

Another Snowy Sunday

Last night's sunsetThis dog does not stop moving or "talking" for a second when you have the camera around!
Our little wolf!

On the way to get some oats for the calves this is what was watching us from the trees.

A Break in the Skies!

Even our energetic dog has a difficult time getting through the yard - great workout for all of us!
What a beautiful country when you can see some blue sky and a little bit of sunshine!! Can't wait for more of it to hopefully come sooner than later! Then we can really enjoy all this snow that we have got!

Getting deeper and deeper in front of the house.

All my lawn Christmas ornaments are practically covered - know where NOT to put them next year if they predict heavy snow! We've never had to worry about that!

The old girl still has a little spring in her step!

The ONLY time I can capture Tori still is when she's doing her business! haha

And the Clearing Begins...

The wall of snow from our deck. I always wanted wind protection there!
Loving every minute of it and trying not to get blown away.

The drift creeping up the back of the house.

The kids' outside toys

Looking for the dog/cat house (again!)

Guess that will have to wait till spring!

My BIG helper

There, now the cats can get out!

Cleared for another little bit.

Lookin' finally like a true winter.
Now we just need Kevin to come up here with the big tractor to get rid of the HUGE drifts in the yard so we can get in and out with the vehicles.

Pictures don't do justice when you can't see the depths of the drifts or the snow - at least you'll get some idea of our winter "wonderland".
