Our Lil' Farmer

Harvest season is upon us in full swing and Landen loves to go combining with his Dad.  Especially now that he has more time in the day since his beg brother is off at school now.  So I have had the pleasure of having a couple of hours to myself when both boys are gone and it is nice to be able to get a fair bit accomplished in such a short time!

Officially Off to Grade 1

On August 30/12, Jaren officially started Grade 1!

A Time of Remembering, Reflecting and Rejoicing

Grandpa's funeral service was held on August 23rd in Veteran, AB.  All of his family were there with the exception of Marvin (Jodie's husband) & Jason, Jacob and Jenna (Julie's family).  Wednesday evening we spent all together with the family and attended a viewing of Grandpa before his service the following day.  A very nice service was held for Grandpa, one that he would have appreciated.  Then we really enjoyed having most of the family here for the following weekend where we could reminisce about stories and share in the laughter and tears with each other.  I really appreciated how the Letniak family came together at a time like this and made everyone feel a part in the preparation of Grandpa's funeral.  I am very lucky to be part of a family like this one!  Once again, far too many pictures to post so I created a smile box of the time we have spent together in the past 5 days.

Last weekend we went camping with Rob and Myla Trenchuk out at Bighorn Dam.  It was a beautiful weekend with perfect weather and wonderful company!  We all had a fun time quading and enjoying some beautiful scenery!  Look forward to doing it again sometime soon!

Jaren's Birthday

On August 9th, our baby turned 7 years old!!!!  Where did that time go?  He is growing into such a responsible young man which makes both Kevin and I proud of him!

He wanted a chocolate cake which he could decorate for himself!

In Memory of Grandpa Letniak

On the morning of August 15th, 2012 Grandpa Letniak passed away in the hospital in Coronation.  We just celebrated his 94th birthday on the 23rd of July.  He was a man with great wisdom and advice and was well respected within the community.  We will miss him greatly!  He is now resting in Jesus and the next time he awakes he will be Going Home!  What a glorious day that will be when we all will be reunited at the 2nd coming!  I can't wait for that day to see our loved ones again!
