Weekend In Calgary

Jenn & Greig
Mom and dad of the groom - John & Linda
The first dance
This weekend we went to Calgary to celebrate in the marriage of Mike and Laura McMynn. It was such a special time and there were many people that I hadn't seen in years from the Terrace area. I was so glad to be able to visit them all again.

Before the wedding we went by Celeste and Nathan's to meet their newest addition, Theodore, who is only 6 weeks old. We had a wonderful time visiting with them and will miss them dearly when they move down to Arizona!! Guess we'll just have to fly south to see them now! :)
An added bonus to the weekend was that we had no children along with us!!!! This is the first time we have been able to get away together in 5 years. It was such a treat!! Thank you Ron and Connie!!

I won't be posting for awhile since the boys and I will be making a road trip west for a couple of weeks. Our stops will include Kelowna, Victoria and then down to the Seattle area to visit some of my family there. We will update when we get back, or if I get access to a computer!! Until next time!

To Those Special Dads in Our Lives...

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!

Birthday Celebrations

Yesterday we headed to Lacombe to partake in the celebration of Sydney's 1st birthday. It was a gorgeous day and so much fun to see everyone for the day.

Rob & Sydney, Myla & Ryan, Randy and the newest Trenchuk member Kyle

Before heading home we stopped by to see Great Grandma Letniak for awhile

Work Retreat

Last week our dental clinic went on a one-night retreat at a beautiful, old, historic B&B located in Trochu, Alberta. This homestead that we stayed at was built in 1903. There was a lot of history in this place.

Yummy, breakfast time!

I got to stay in the pink room of the house, one of the seven rooms available.

Church "Campout" Weekend

This past weekend we had planned a church campout at a nearby campground. But unfortunately because of the weather and all of the rain (which we are not complaining about) people were unable to get there trailers down the couple miles of mud/ruts/slick to get to the highway which led to the campground. So plan B........Sabbath day spent at Kevin and Angie's!!!! We had a wonderful day worshipping and fellowshipping with our little church and members from the Hanna church. The weather was gorgeous, the mosquitoes were minimal and the food was great!! :) Couldn't have asked for a better day!

Pastor Dave giving his sermon on the deck of the old Hemaruka train station.

Grandpa, enjoying the sermon (or the sun!)

Landen's look of "Why do I have to sit and listen when I can be playing out in the yard??"

Our little gathering

Our cousin, Brian led in some song and the lesson study.

Keesha also enjoying the sermon

Another special part of the day was that it was Stephen Sankey's 86th birthday as well as his and Peggy's 61st wedding anniversary!

The evening ended with a hot dog roast and more singing & evening worship!

Bridal Shower

Last Sunday I attended a shower for Danielle Goulett, bride-elect of Rob Weich. They are to get married in August back in Ontario.

More Showers of Blessing!

The other day we had 2 inches of rain in less than a 24 hour period, this country is a totally different looking place than it was 8 weeks ago. We have been so blessed with all this moisture this spring.

Is that blue sky??

Tori has spent her fair share of time by the front door having to dry off before joining the rest of her family in the house. It has become a regular routine pretty much every time she enters.

View of the train station in our yard

Water running through the field filling the next dugout down the line.

Chore Time

With these days of rain it is getting harder to keep the kids from getting bored. So often Landen volunteers to be my chore helper. He loves to do things around the house with me. Here he is modelling is wonderful pink pull-ups as he vacuums. Never send Grandma to town to pick you up a box of pull-ups at Costco! :) She'll come home with pink princess ones!! haha She said she'll stick with picking out the broccoli and not the pull-ups!! Thank goodness he doesn't care and it's all part of the potty-training process!!!

Our Little Team

We've had so much fun this spring working with these little guys practicing our T-ball and soccer skills. We haven't had large #'s to deal with so we weren't able to actually play games against other kids but it has been a blast getting out and getting some fresh air. We will wrap up our season in another 2 weeks.
