Pictures Say 1000 Words

So much to learn from Ghetto

Some passions just never grow old

Goodbyes

This morning Uncle Paul and Auntie Darlene left the farm to fly back to Texas after a weeks visit here. At 7:30am people started arriving in the yard to make certain preparations.
Just hanging out on Uncle Paul's plane
The plane had to be towed to the highway from our house so they could take-off.

We all congregated on the highway visiting and snapping pictures left, right & centre. The people driving by at 8:00am probably wondered what was going on with all these people, vehicles & a plane sitting along side the road.

Sad goodbyes

Ready for take-off

After they had left we then came back to our house and made a pancake breakfast because most of us had not eaten anything yet. Auntie Ellen & Auntie Debbie

We pray that Uncle Paul & Auntie Darlene have a safe journey home! It was wonderful to see them again!

Happy Sabbath

Since we have not had a scheduled church service for the past couple of months we decided that we would bring Sabbath School to our house! I am sure glad that we did because we had 3 very happy children singing songs and learning about Jesus!

After our Sabbath school and a couple of good naps we gathered together at Grandpa & Grandma's house for a potluck dinner with the Letniak family. Of course when you get the Auntie's together out comes the cameras and family photo shoots begin! This one is of Grandpa & Grandma and their 3 grandchildren. Also in the photo is Great Grandma Scobie.

We then came back to our house to have some fruit & popcorn and then it was into the bath to scrub down the 3 little munchkins! I think we had just about as much water around the tub as we did inside it! We are REALLY going to miss having Jonathan and Kaitlyn around to play with - we had a wonderful week of fun & entertainment!!

Watching Uncle Paul's Plane

Yesterday Uncle Paul needed to fly to Hanna, AB to get some fuel for his plane. He & Grandpa Ron flew from Consort to the Hemaruka Hwy to pick up Kevin. So Julie, I and the little ones waiting anxiously to watch the plane land on the highway but much to our dismay they landed to far south for us to be able to watch them. So quickly we loaded everyone up and headed a couple miles south to catch them take-off again on the highway to head to Hanna. You don't get to see that happen everyday!

Patiently waiting & watching the skies

The Fun Just Does Not Stop!

This morning Auntie Julie, Jonathan & Kaitlyn came over to play outside while the temperature was not too hot. We sure love having our cousins around - it is so much fun to play with them. When Julie & I aren't helping them "share" their toys & referee we sure enjoy watching the interactions of these little persons! Their development of communication and reasoning is an amazing thing to see! They are such joys to watch grow and change every day! What a blessing they are!

I think we need to get a bigger quad!! :)

A Trip to the Hygienist!

After work yesterday a truck-load of the Letniak's showed up to get their teeth cleaned by me! Auntie Julie was the first in line so Jonathan could watch and then Jonathan was next! This was his first cleaning that he had and he did absolutely amazing!! I was so proud of him! Once Jonathan was finished we than had our last patient of the day - Grandma Scobie!
We then ventured to the grocery store to pick up a couple of things and as you can see that is ALWAYS an adventure with these little rascals!

Julie & I also braved dining out with the three of them and then it was an entertaining ride home. I was hoping that at least they would have a little sleep on the ride back but of course not!!! We love talking about the events that took place during the day!

Prairie Oasis - Day 2

We started the morning off by playing in the park because there was a bit of a breeze that would have made water activities a little cooler. We had a wonderful time running all around and doing the different things.

By the later part of the afternoon it got quite warm again so it was back to the boat for a couple last tube rides and water skis. Then we were to the beach to swim and play in the water before having to pack up to head back home. What a wonderful time was had by all!!!! Can't wait to do it again already!

Prairie Oasis - Day 1

We took a couple of days this past week and camped out at Prairie Oasis. The weather was incredibly cooperative so we enjoyed EVERY minute of playing in the water. We soon realized that we have a couple of little fishes that love to be in the water or on the boat! Auntie Debbie and Grandma Connie parked their trailers out at the lake so we stayed there for 2 nights and spent 2 whole days at the beach! These pictures are from the first day there - hope you enjoy!

Kaitlyn and I playing in the water - so refreshing!

Rather than building sand castles Jaren had more fun destroying them! Something we'll have to work on for next time!

Couldn't keep Kaitlyn away from the water - she loved the boat!

Swimming with Mommy

Practicing on the tube so they can go solo next year behind the boat :)

Even Mrs. Elaine came out for a couple hours in the afternoon

Getting ready to take Auntie Debbie & Grandma for a gentle tube ride

Loving every minute in the boat!

Gotta keep a close eye on where Mommy is!

All 3 munchkins finally tired out enough to sleep in the boat while we where skiing, knee-boarding & tubing! Beats sleeping in the trailer!

Family Fellowship

No, the Letniak's definitely do not have a preference of vehicles!! Oh what I am saying, that's right, we're in Chev country!!
Where's the beach?

Relaxing in the shade after a nice dinner

ALWAYS looking for trouble!
We got together this afternoon to have a nice dinner outside with some of the Letniak crew. Uncle Paul and Auntie Darlene flew in yesterday from Texas for a visit so it was great to see them again. We always look forward to having time to relax and visit with everyone. It was such a wonderful, yet once again, HOT day!
