Father's Day Weekend Part 2

On Sunday we got to attend our first Gooseberry Lake Rodeo with Grandpa Ron and Dad.  It was a little bit of a dreary day but the rain held off for most of the event on Sunday.  Just one REALLY good shower swept through.  It was the rodeo's 50th anniversary.  We had a great time!

Father's Day Weekend

This year we were actually home for Father's Day.  For the past couple of years this has been the time that we are in Terrace, but not this year with Jaren in school now.  The boys and I actually leave for Terrace this week and will be there Friday and spending the next week with my folks and family before we have to head home again for a busy July.  So for Father's Day we went and spent the weekend with some of our good friends up in Smokey Lake.  It was great to get away and spend some time with them!

Father's Day in Terrace

This year Father's day was spent in Terrace. We had a wonderful day together with my dad and of course Kevin. We started by going to a car show and looking at all the oldies and some new cars. This is one that Jaren kind of liked and wanted to pose in front of! Later in the day I got treated to a fun motorcycle ride with a friend of ours, Bill Kennedy. I guess I am officially now a biker mama!

The highlight of the day though was a helicopter ride for the three special guys in my life, Kevin, Dad & Jaren. They got a tour around Terrace that not everyone gets to see from that view. Jaren had a blast and now wants to become a helicopter pilot!

Our Father's Day

We had a nice Father's day spent over at Grandpa & Grandma Letniak's house. Grandma made a wonderful dinner and had us, Great Grandpa, Curtis, & Uncle Lawrence over to eat. Most of the dads were bachelors this weekend so it was nice to be able to get together. Thanks again Connie!! After lunch the guys went out to brand a group of cattle but by the time we got out they were done so we didn't get to "help" out at all. Instead we spent a bit of time with Grandma in the garden as she was turning up some of the weeds that have begun to grow after our bit of moisture that we've had.

Later in the afternoon Jaren and I came home to get some things done here. Once again another little thunder storm blew past us and we were blessed with a gorgeous double rainbow. It is true what they say about Alberta....if you don't like the weather just wait 5 minutes and it should change!!

Just wanted to take this moment to wish Kevin a Happy Father's Day! We are so lucky to have a daddy who loves his boys and his wife :) so much! Thank you for all that you do. We love you!
