Thanksgiving Monday

For Thanksgiving dinner we celebrated at Curtis and Julie's house.  It was a nice relaxing day.  After lunch we went for a chilly quad tour around where they live.  When there are quads, the kids are usually pretty happy!!!  :)

An Afternoon At Bower Ponds

For Thanksgiving weekend we went to spend the weekend at Curtis and Julie's.  On that same weekend we had a wedding to attend so it was a real weekend full of thanksgiving and celebrations.  On Sabbath we went to Bower ponds in Red Deer to enjoy a beautiful day outside and enjoy every bit of fall we could.

Our Thanksgiving Weekend

This weekend for Thanksgiving we were in Canmore to celebrate the wedding of Lisa & Nick. Lisa is a 1st cousin to Kevin so it was wonderful to have all the family around and be able to see everyone. As well it was extra special to be able to spend the time in such a beautiful location like Canmore - you can't beat the scenery!

These are just a few of the one-hundred-and-some that I took so I created a slideshow for those that would want to take the time to look at it. So if you decide go to the post below and take a look at our beautiful weekend in Canmore with the Letniak family.

Jenn & Laura's Visit to the Farm

On Wednesday afternoon Jenn and Laura (Jenn's soon-to-be sister-in-law) braved the snow covered roads to come out and visit us for a couple of days before Jenn flies back to Victoria. It is always an anticipated visit when Auntie Jenn is coming to Alberta, we definitely don't get to see her often enough. We'll be lucky as we'll be seeing each other again at Christmas this year! The dreaded goodbye's :(

Celebrating Thanksgiving with McMynn's

This year for Thanksgiving dinner we headed to Calgary to spend the weekend with our good friend's the McMynn's. Mike and Laura hosted a wonderful dinner for us all and it was so good to see everyone again.

Jaren and Auntie Jenn, inseparable again!! :)

Mike and John cutting up the 28 lb bird - we were told that each one of us had to eat 4 lbs of turkey that evening to finish it up!! No one was even close to touching that amount as there was way too much other good food to taste!

Landen had a head start on the turkey as we didn't get eating until just shortly before 8pm which is early on the McMynn time schedule! :)

Dishing up to a delicious meal!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day today with some family. Randi and I had our very first attempt of doing our own turkey and if I must say so myself - it was pretty good!! Dinner was a success!

Kevin carving the bird

Doing the last minute preps before eating. I don't know why Kevin has that expression on his face, I know he was probably hungry by that time but not mad ;) Maybe he didn't hear Randi say SMILE!! :)

Our meal ready to be eaten with Jaren sitting at the table patiently waiting to be served and deciding what should be put on his plate and what should be left off.

Let me tell you.........get the dishes done from the Thanksgiving meal and it's outside to start getting ready for Christmas!! While the weather was beautiful and I had a little help I decided to drag Randi outside (kicking & screaming) with me to put up some lights on the trees. What better time than now before our hands are freezing and I don't want to be out there (especially by myself).

Trent attempting his "roping" skills on a cow that Kevin has been treating for a wounded leg. Only took him 3 tries to get her! It's a good thing she didn't move at all otherwise we might have been there all night! :)
