Ronna and Mike's Wedding

For our Easter break the boys and I headed up to Grande Prairie to spend time with my family and also attend my cousin Ronna's wedding.  It was a beatiful wedding and always a great time to spend with Randi and her family.  My mom and dad were also able to be there for 5 days which the kids absolutley   enjoyed!

While at Auntie Randi's the weather was beautiful (till the day we wanted to come home) so we got out walking and riding bikes pretty much everyday!  The kids had a blast being able to ride their bikes on some smooth pavement, something that is not commonly found at the farm!  So these are just a few pictures of the fun times the kids had outside.

Easter at Randi & Trent's

Easter was spent with my sister and her family up in Sexsmith, AB.  We haven't been up there since their wedding so our visit was LONG overdue!  The kids woke up Sunday morning to an Easter egg hunt and then that afternoon we had a delicious turkey dinner made by Randi - it was quite the treat!!!

Calgary Visit on Good Friday

It has been awhile since I have blogged - I honestly don't know where the month of April went, it was a busy one.  To start it off the boys and I took a trip up to see my sister in Sexsmith during Jaren's Easter break.  Before heading north we went for an overnighter in Calgary to see my very good friend Jenn who flew in from Victoria, BC to see her niece Olivia.  It was so good to see everyone, even though it was soo short!

Happy Easter

This year we had a pretty quiet Easter weekend with no company. The boys woke up to a little Easter egg trail to find a treat the the Easter bunny had left them. It was fun watching Landen gathering up his little treasures for the first time and seeing the excitement in both of the boy's eyes! They make any holiday special now!! :) Happy Easter to you all, we hope you had an enjoyable time with friends and family.

Easter Sunday

Jaren had a great morning when he awoke from bed and found a trail of Easter eggs that led to a fine chocolate monster truck and chocolate bunnies. He had soo much fun scurrying around gathering the eggs and cleaning up the "mess" that the Easter bunny left behind.


Landen didn't quite get as enthusiastic as he watched his brother hustle around aimlessly throwing things into a basket that looked much like a chicken?!? He observed Jaren's every move quite carefully though.

Jaren received a grain auger from Mrs. Grabo the other day and since he has brought it home he has been endlessly augering his wheat from the gravity wagon into the semi truck. He is definitely a TRUE farmer. What a special gift and one that has been much appreciated! (Although I really don't like all of the wheat that I keep vacuuming up so often! This may soon have to be used outside as the weather is getting much nicer!)

A Real Good Friday

My sister Randi came to visit us this weekend and spend a few days entertaining the boys. They sure enjoy someone else around to play with and "bug" throughout the day besides boring Mom! On Friday we had a fun-filled day with decorating Easter eggs and baking some Easter sugar cookies. We then got to spend the afternoon outside as it was very warm and sunny.

It is funny to watch Landen. He has picked up a real infatuation for our telephone. So anything that he sees that even slightly resembles our phone he puts it up to his ear and starts to talk (in hope that someone will talk back to him on the other end). So on our deck he picked up a cord from the electric dog bed and carried on quite the conversation with himself. By the time I was able to try and record it he was done or was always turning away from me! Anyways, I caught a few seconds of him so watch if you want to. Not the best quality!! :)

Our First Easter Egg Hunt

Landen's first Easter Sunday - not too concerned with the Easter Bunny! :)

Jaren wasn't quite too sure what to think when he came out of his bedroom this morning after his bath to find chocolate Easter eggs hidden all over the living room. Once we caught on that the Easter Bunny was not hiding around the corner and we were allowed to put them into our basket, he started to have some fun and wanted to crack open each of the chocolate eggs.

Good Friday

This Easter weekend we have had some visitors come and see us. Auntie Randi and Uncle Trent came down for the weekend to meet little Landen and see Jaren. So Auntie Randi and Jaren spent Friday afternoon decorating Easter eggs getting them ready for our Easter egg hunt on Sunday.
