Hemaruka Christmas Supper
Getting ready to sing carols.
Christmas caroling - Jaren was enjoying himself as we were singing Jingle Bells. He didn't want to be on the stage with all the other children.
We even got a personal visit from Santa himself, riding in on his trusty reindeer, Dancer
This was the closest that Landen wanted to get to Santa. Of course my batteries died when the boys tried to sit on Santa's lap so I had to borrow Elaine's camera. Hopefully she'll be able to send them to me because that may be the only one we get with Mr Claus this year :) Now we get ready to head to mom and dad's for Christmas this week. It is hard to believe that this time of year is already here!!! Can't promise many more "exciting" posts before we fly out on Thursday, so we hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season.

Surprise Visit
The following Sunday, after attending the farm show, the boys and I caught a ride up to my sister's place in Sexsmith,AB with my mother-in-law, Connie. She was going to visit her mom for a week so I asked if we could join her on her travels and have a surprise stay with Randi for that week. We had a wonderful time as always and got a lot accomplished around her place. Randi is about 6 1/2 months pregnant so it was fun to be able to help her get some things organized around her house before baby arrives sometime in February. It was also good to see the rest of my family who lives in Grande Prairie. Now the next thing to get ready for is Christmas.

In Remembrance...
When a soldier comes home, he finds it hard...
...to listen to his son whine about being bored.
...to keep a straight face when people complain about potholes.
...to be tolerant of people who complain about the hassles of getting ready for work.

...to be understanding when a co-worker complains about a bad nights sleep.
...to be silent when people pray to God for a new car.
...to control his panic when his wife tells him he needs to drive slower.

...to be compassionate when a businessman expresses a fear of flying.

...to keep from laughing when anxious parents say they're afraid to send their kids off to summer camp.
