Beware of Flying Tent!

Quick thinking on Landen's part seconds after a gust of wind whipped through our yard and decided to steal the tent he was playing with! The reason you never leave things out that aren't tied down or you never leave your house windows open!! The gusts/whirlwinds arrive out of nowhere and when you least expect them!! RUN FOREST RUN!!!

(My thinking as I am killing myself laughing watching him scream for his tent to stop!! What a good mother I am!!!! :)

STOP!!!!!
GOTCHA!

RESCUE MISSION COMPLETE!

Seeding and Spraying Season

Going for a ride with Grandpa

The long days and lots of equipment in the field has started!!!

"Riding My Bike"

Landen FINALLY got the hang of pedalling a bike!! He realized this was a much quicker way to get around rather than "walking" the bike after Jaren! He was so proud of himself!

Spring Has Definately Arrived!!

Playing at the school park until Jaren was dismissed from class
Crash landing!
Landen FINALLY figured out that pedalling a bike was a much quicker way to go than "walking" the bike!

Prairie crocuses

Enjoying the splashes of colours besides a countryside of brown!

Even though you may have to look very carefully!

Finding the crocuses

A mouse ran into the culvert

"Where did it go?"

Tori in the culvert after the mouse which she successfully killed!

Sabbath with Bells and Family

On Sabbath we had a nice visit with Uncle Bob, Auntie Ellen and Brian when they brought great grandma out to the farm for the weekend. It was great grandpa and great grandma's 70th wedding anniversary on April 17th so this was a little way of celebrating with them in their home.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to some of those very special moms in our lives!! We hope you all have a wonderful day, each of you deserve it!!! Love you all!!!!

There are many other special, hard working mothers out there that may read this today as well. We also wish for you a Happy Mother's Day!

I've carried children within my body, slept with them on my chest. I've kissed little toes and wiped away tears. I've been vomited on, peed on and spent sleepless nights cradling my child, but I wouldn't have it any other way. My body isn't magazine perfect, but when I look in the mirror I see a MOM....and there is no greater honor, love or BLESSING!!

On the Hunt for Frogs

The sound of the frogs outside is so beautiful and LOUD so we decided to go to the dug-out to see if we could find some of the culprits.

Where there is one, the other will follow! :)

Crossing some of the water to get to the other side of the dug-out

Just about filling the boots with water but made it safely.

We had a laugh watching/tricking Tori to go for her very first swim ever. It was quite the site with the doggy-paddle!

Going in after something that we tossed into the water and before she lost the bottom of the dug-out to her feet. She learned quickly and didn't fall for our tricks of things tossed into the water. Smart little girl. Maybe when it gets warmer she'll wanna go in and cool off like Keesha used to love to do.

Everything must end up in the water.

CHEESE!

Quietly trying to scope out where those noisy frogs are...

Calving Season

Tori

Bottle feeding a twin that is 1 day old. The mother doesn't have any milk for her little calves

Waiting patiently to meet some other four-legged creatures

Such a precious face

Tori with her first encounter of a day-old calf

Upon bedtime I went to tuck Jaren in his bed and couldn't find him. With a little hunting we found him sleeping with his little brother. They looked comfortable and weren't fighting so they got to have a sleepover together. I think it only lasted till midnight when Jaren went back to his own room cause he was getting crowded by Landen.
