We are very excited and Jaren is trying to get his little mind around being a "Big Brother"! According to my dates we should be due sometime around the 9th of April! (Who knows!?!?) It is still so surreal right now because you aren't showing at all but I can not seem to get one thing accomplished around the house because I am SOOOOOO exhausted!!! Can't wait for the 1st trimester to be over with and feeling "normal" again!

Our Little Cowboy
Today Jaren & I ventured down to Cessford, AB to a friend's place that I work with, Barbara. She is also a hygienist. We had an instructor come by her house to re-certify us for our CPR this coming year. Before we started we took a little walk over to see the horses and have Jaren get up close-and-personal with them. He wasn't too crazy to try and sit on the horse with Colin. I think he is very much like father, like son......it's much easier to jump on the quads when we have to work cattle!! So needless to say, Jaren had his first little adventure for a few seconds on a roping horse named Ace!Sunday, August 26, 2007
A Busy Weekend
Our Saturday started out with celebrating Grandpa Ron's birthday after church. I don't think that Grandpa got to blow out any of his candles this year!!
Saturday Night Corn Feed
Then on Saturday evening we had a corn & potato feed also at Ron and Connie's place. I think that there were close to over 70 people that came from our community and the Hanna area! We loaded up on great food and then that was followed by a sing-song in the garage for those who wanted to participate.
After the singing was over everyone headed outside again to roast a few tasty marshmallows over the fire before parting ways to head home.

We wrapped up our weekend on Sunday by getting together once again at Grandpa & Grandma's house to play some more with our cousins and have a great lunch. Jaren, Jonathan & Kaitlyn really enjoy the time that they get to have together!

A Morning of Fun!
This morning Jaren & I headed east to go and visit Andrea, Braxton & Paisley Thornton. It had been way too long since our last visit in June so we figured we'd better get over there to get re-acquainted with everyone! From 6:30am this morning Jaren was yelling from the top of his lungs out of his crib "Are we going to Braxton's house Mommy?" over & over & over!!! So needless to say Jaren was VERY excited to go and see his buddy! The two boys played quite well together and even shared a snack out of the same bowl (although it was a lot closer to Jaren than it was to Braxton!).
It was great to see everyone especially little Paisley who is 3 months old already and growing like a little weed!! We always look forward to our visits with them!Wednesday, August 22, 2007

I HATE Goodbyes!!
The dreaded
morning arrived when we had to say our goodbyes to Grandpa & Grandma Sparks as they venture back home to Terrace. We ALWAYS look forward to their visits out here and we anticipate every moment that we can spend with them. Jaren is really going to miss all of the undivided attention that he received from both of them and the endless stories and playtime partners! Mommy is going to miss that too as well as just being able to talk with them face-to-face! Thanks for all your help with some of the little projects Dad that I can't get done by myself and thank you Mom for all your help with the birthday party (the cake was the cutest!!) and many other things! I hope to promise that we will get out to see you guys this fall and actually do some fishing & camping!!!

A Special Present
Grandpa & Grandma Sparks bought Jaren a swing-set for his birthday. Thankfully Grandpa got it set up for us otherwise it might be in the box for awhile since our harvest is now underway!! Thank you both so much and I am sure that we will get a lot of use out of the swings!! We are so glad that you were both here to spend his birthday with us again - we love having you here!
Jaren's 1st 2nd Birthday Party! (Not really!)
