Happy Halloween

I had to post a picture of my sister and I which was maybe taken around 1985 (my mom would know better). The clown suit that my sister was wearing in this picture was actually made for me when I was in kindergarten....so about 27 years ago!! Well this year my son got the honor of wearing that same suit for his kindergarten year 27 years later! I think it is true that they don't make things like they used to!!! He made an adorable clown!

This afternoon we went to the Veteran school where they had a carnival for the kids with many activities, then we headed to the country to do a little trick-or-treating

(I posted some more pictures in the smilebox in another post if you are interested in the carnival activities)

On Saturday night, the boys and Kevin carved their pumpkins....

Kevin, very intense into his carving :)

Jaren even did 90% of the pumpkin by himself this year

The older kids in the school that Jaren attends organized a carnival to raise money for unicef and had many different activities for the children to do. The kids had fun!

Good Morning!

What a beautiful sight to wake up to in the morning!

Beautiful Sunsets

That is one thing about living in an area where you have no trees or mountains to block your view.......you get to experience THE most beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The skies are our backdrop! This was one of our gorgeous sunsets we got to enjoy the other night - what a way to end a busy and hectic day!

Lovin' the Company!

This past weekend we had some more company out. It was so great to have Stephen and his girlfriend Susan come out and spend some time with us. This was our first time getting to know Susan and I must say our boys, especially the youngest, were quite smitten with her! ;)

New Kittens

This weekend we got some new kitties for the boys. The boys want cats that don't mind being handled and also some cats who Tori has been "trained" (if at all possible) to not chase. So by getting some kittens we thought that they would get used to both the boys and the dog! Maybe they would stick closer to home unlike our other adult cats we have around the place.

The black kitten, Nicole (the name chosen thus far), just LOVES the kids and follows them all around the yard so I think she should be a good one and one that will be easy to have the dog get used to. She holds her own pretty good for how little she is.

This little one is named Sandy. So far Sandy just likes to take off and hide from everyone. She is VERY quite and hides VERY well. We are still unsure how she'll end up or if she'll decide to stick around.

All I Want for Christmas...

We now officially have a toothless child! :) He lost them 2 days apart.

Jenn's Visit

Last week we had one of my closest friends, Jenn McMynn, come out to visit us for a couple of days. The time is never enough when you have great friends around. We love having her come and see us. Thanks for the visit!!

The weather was beautiful so we were able to enjoy some time outdoors.

Best friends for many, many years and for many, many more to come!! :)

Our Thanksgiving Weekend

This weekend for Thanksgiving we were in Canmore to celebrate the wedding of Lisa & Nick. Lisa is a 1st cousin to Kevin so it was wonderful to have all the family around and be able to see everyone. As well it was extra special to be able to spend the time in such a beautiful location like Canmore - you can't beat the scenery!

These are just a few of the one-hundred-and-some that I took so I created a slideshow for those that would want to take the time to look at it. So if you decide go to the post below and take a look at our beautiful weekend in Canmore with the Letniak family.
