"Playing"

This morning Jaren really wanted to show Landen his big tractor. I just love the expression on Landen's face that he is fearing for his life with that tractor around his head - rightfully so I would say with the likes of his big brother! Landen I am sure will have that look more than once in his life! :)

Our Little "Doll"

Before Landen was born I had bought Jaren a little doll that he named Jesse. I thought that it might help him with the idea of having a baby in the house. So we got Jesse last night and laid him beside Landen just to show a comparison of size between Landen and the doll. Landen's not too much bigger right now. We had the health nurse come by on Thursday evening to weigh him and see how he was doing. When we left the hospital 5 days earlier Landen weighed 4 lbs 13 0z and on the Thursday when he was weighed he was 5 lbs 1.5 oz! Just about back to his birth weight of 5 lbs 1.8 oz in 1 week! We've got a small but mighty little fellow on our hands!! We are so thankful for his health and that he is here safe and sound with us! What a wonderful Easter weekend!

Our First Easter Egg Hunt

Landen's first Easter Sunday - not too concerned with the Easter Bunny! :)
Jaren wasn't quite too sure what to think when he came out of his bedroom this morning after his bath to find chocolate Easter eggs hidden all over the living room. Once we caught on that the Easter Bunny was not hiding around the corner and we were allowed to put them into our basket, he started to have some fun and wanted to crack open each of the chocolate eggs.

A Happy Sabbath

Good Friday

This Easter weekend we have had some visitors come and see us. Auntie Randi and Uncle Trent came down for the weekend to meet little Landen and see Jaren. So Auntie Randi and Jaren spent Friday afternoon decorating Easter eggs getting them ready for our Easter egg hunt on Sunday.

My Men!

Landen is now 6 days old and definitely fitting very well into the family. Things have been going REALLY good so I am just waiting for something to happen to make it a little more difficult. I was expecting the adjustment to be like when we brought Jaren home from the hospital but I think our BIGGEST adjustment has been rocking Jaren's little world. He loves his little brother so much and wants him to play so desperately with him. He has a hard time understanding how little he is and how he'll have to wait and be patient & gentle with Landen. Soon enough I am sure the story will change when Landen really does want to play with Jaren and then he'll wish he was still small!!

We have had a busy couple of days with daily trips to the hospital to keep a close eye on Landen's bilirubin. Because of how small he is we don't want him to have high levels and develop severe jaundice. So my poor little guys heal had to be poked every day and by the third day he didn't even cry! What a trooper. Thankfully each day the levels have dropped and we are doing quite well. He seems to have a bit more time each day with his eyes open and he is feeding really vigorously when he's hungry. So a trip to Hanna tomorrow to get some groceries and then I am hoping that I don't have to leave my house next week at all!! I just want to stay at home for a change!!!!!

Brotherly bonding

Resting after a hard day's work

Bright eyed and bushy tailed - only happens maybe once or twice in the day!

Wanting to hold baby brother sooooo badly - we'll get better!

So many new things to see!
